RECIPES TO A GREAT PICNIC

Prepared for SUA&F@SD on August 7, 2010

Set aside a great venue: The Embarcadero Marina Park right beside the touristy Seaport Village overlooks the ocean/bay, the Coronado Bridge and has rolling grass lawns. The coveted gazebo was secured by Manny Narvaez who got up early in the morning to save it for us.

Prepare a cup of helpers: Nate and Grace Tan, Joel and Gaya Simpkins, Pastor Isaias, Mila and Reinhold Paniamogan and John Olivar were there to dress the table and do prep work and clean up.

Decorate the table with lechon. Thanks to Boy and Cory Bandala who delivered this important ingredient.

Provide a patient and knowledgeable Dance Instructor, John Olivar.

Have a Raffle Drawing. Many thanks to Rev. Johnny and Esther Pia for donating a Las Vegas getaway for 7 days worth $700. We earned $600 plus for our Scholar.

Mix in members, guests from Perris Congregation and members from Southern California Association with a classic San Diego weather.

Voila! A Silliman spirit-filled afternoon!
